Students in Kindergarten to Year 2 read or experience 30 books to complete the challenge and students in Years 3 to 6 read 20 books.

Students must read the books from the appropriate level of the Premier's Reading Challenge booklist. They are allowed a maximum of 5 books that are not on the list. This list is available on the website at, or simply type NSW Premier's Reading Challenge into your search browser and follow the links.
