Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools. The safety of our students is our highest priority.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
• please respect our neighbours by not parking in driveways.

The school car park is restricted to staff and deliveries only. Please do not attempt to park here unless you have made prior arrangements with the school. Please contact us for more information.

Riding and scooting

Our school is located close to parklands with extensive cycleways and footpaths, and some students choose to ride to school. We have a large number of bike racks available within the school grounds, accessible through the main front admin gate.

When riding bikes or scooters near our school, please:

• wear a helmet
• watch out for pedestrians
• dismount and walk your bike or scooter along our entrances and when crossing the road
• walk your bike or scooter when on school grounds (bikes and scooters are not permitted beyond our designated bike racks)

Need help getting to school?

If your child has a disability or additional needs, parking on school grounds for drop off and pick up may be an option. Additionally, they may be eligible for the Assisted School Travel Program. Contact us to learn more or get help planning your child's journey to school.

A public bus stop is located on The Ponds Blvd, close to John Palmer Public School. Check Transport NSW to see if this is an appropriate option for you.
