Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Over the past year, our Year 6 students have been working hard to fundraise for a special gift to leave behind for our school community: five new shaded picnic benches.
A huge thank you to our families and community for supporting Year 6’s fundraising efforts. When you’re next dropping off or picking up your children, take a moment to check them out!
We are delighted to share that on 4th September, Siddharth in Year 3, received a Highly Commended Award for Community Language at a ceremony organised by the NSW Department of Education.
This annual ceremony recognises students who demonstrate significant growth and achievement in different community languages. Siddharth was selected from among hundreds of students studying the Nepalese language across NSW, which made the recognition even more special. Congratulations Siddharth!
In July, our students competed in the Sydney West Orienteering Championship. The individual results were as follows: Blake 1st, Toby 3rd and Hudson 8th, Abigail (Year 5) 3rd and Isabelle (Year 6) 3rd.
In the teams event, the boys team came first, narrowly edging out the girls team (who came second), by just 2 seconds. They competed against 400 other students so these were excellent results! Congratulations!
"We love our school!! The teachers are so dedicated, creating a continuous pathway of learning where our children are engaged in curiosity and confidence, and a real love of learning” — a parent of John Palmer Public School
